Hike in relief demanded by Displaced Sikhs

Displaced Kashmiri Sikhs Conference today appealed the state government to increase their monthly relief from Rs 10 thousand to Rs 20 thousand and demanded pending ration for the last four months.

Earlier, Displaced Kashmiri Sikhs Conference has praised the decision of BJP for setting up of Shri Guru Gobind singh chair in the Punjabi language department of University of Jammu (JU). The demand for establishment of this chair was old one since 1998, none amongst the previous governments took such bold step.

Addressing the media persons, Harmohinder Singh, President Displaced Kashmiri Sikh Conference said that historical decision of BJP will be appreciated by future generations and this will pave a way for national integration and will cement the bonds of brotherhood.
