In response to the Headline News published in one of the most reputed newspapers of Jammu. Hilal Rather said, “We have all the respect and regard for the said publishing house and we support open journalism, but, along with the freedom of expression that media houses enjoy there is a responsibility to ensure that all news items should be reported in an unbiased and impartial manner and after giving all the parties concerned a due hearing.”

Unfortunately in this particular matter this indispensable professional and ethical obligation has been dispensed with for the reasons best known to the author of the story.  Nobody from the newspaper even tried a missed call on our phones or email/whatsapp/other modes of communication and the story has been run completely on the basis of so called official sources who have been kept hidden from the public eye.

We would like to present our side of the story for which we have invited members of the media.

As everybody is well aware that in Jammu City  it is the JMC or the JDA, as per the title of the land and jurisdiction, issue building permissions to such constructions after seeking necessary NOCs from different departments. Before starting any construction we have properly approached both JMC as well as JDA for granting us permission for construction of flats on the legitimately acquired premises.

After proper processing of the case while as JDA maintained to us that this particular area does not fall within their jurisdiction, JMC issued building permission in our favour after appropriately seeking NOCs from different departments including JDA, of which we have documentary proofs.
