Hiranagar Police foils bovine smuggling bid

Police foiled bovine smuggling bid and rescued 4 bovines from a vehicle at area, falling under the jurisdiction of Hiranagar police station. As per police sources, a team from Hiranagar police station headed by Sub-Inspector Anand Dutta, while on patrolling at National Highway, intercepted one Mahindra Load carrier bearing registration no. JK08E-0450 loaded with bovine which was on way from Punjab towards J&K. On observing the police party, driver of load carrier accelerated the vehicle that alerted police party which chased and intercepted the Vehicle at Kootah Morh and driver of the vehicle managed to flee from the spot leaving vehicle behind. During physical search of vehicle police recovered 4 bovines. Police seized the vehicle and rescued all the bovines.
A case under FIR Number 45/17 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PC Act has been registered at Kathua police station and manhunt has been launched to nab the bovine smugglers. The whole operation was conducted by under the supervision of Inspector Amit Sangra SHO P/S Haranagar, Under the overall supervision of Pawan Parihar SSP Kathua.
