Horticulture is backbone of J&K’s economy: Ravinder Raina

MLA Nowshera Constituency, Ravinder Raina today made a whirl wind tour of Sunderbani block along with S. Kirtan Singh Chief Horticulture Officer Rajouri, Sub Divisional Magistrate Sunderbani and Horticulture Development Officer Sunderbani along with staff. The MLA kicked start the plantation work and planted fruit plants with his reverend hands at about 13 places/projects located at Punne de Kheter, Kangri Ghai Bhajwal, Balshama, Patrara and Dhok Banyar.
While addressing the gathering, Ravinder Raina, said horticulture is backbone of J&K’s economy and urged the local who have more interest in developing horticulture orchid in Nowshera and Sunderbani.
He said by developing horticulture orchid the farmers more benefits and it can reduce the problem of unemployment and backwardness. Raina said the Jammu province have more potential then Kashmir in sphere of horticulture development but in path Jammu province was deliberately ignored but the present government has put all efforts to develop Jammu province as the hub of horticulture.
The Chief Horticulture Officer Kirtan Singh Raina, said the state government has initiated so many steps boost the horticulture in Rajouri district. He asked the farmers to get more benefits of new horticulture schemes and assured the farmers that in coming days special awareness camp will be organize in Nowshera and Sunderbani to make farmers aware of the new technique to horticulture plant.
