Katra, October 18
A delegation of Hotel & Restaurant Association Katra led by its President Rakesh Wazir & Chairman Shyam Lal Kesar met Chairman Railway Board A.K Mittal who was on tour to Katra, Reasi and other areas to inspect the ongoing work of Katra to Srinagar Railway line including the coming up world’s highest bridge at Kouri.
Wazir while speaking on the occasion besides thanking the Chairman for extending several trains upto Katra showed him even the minute requirements of Katra Railway station and said that the facilities which are already there be started at the earliest including parking lots which be opened for Autos, Taxies, Cars, Motor Cycles etc. viz-a-viz the passenger Reservation counter of which the building is already complete, which needs to be started at the earliest because in absence of these facilities the pilgrims are facing lot of problems.
Wazir also demanded for starting of some DMU’s upto Katra again because DMU’s are having less fairs and more stoppages enroute to Jammu. The Chairman listened the delegation patiently and assured that parkings will be started within days and assured early consideration of all other demands.
The delegation among others was comprised of senior office bearers of the association including Sr. Vice President Virender Kesar, Gen. Secretary Harish Dubey, Vice Presidents Vivek Sharma, Amit Rahi, Rohit Dubey, umit Khajuria etc.
