Comedian Kapil Sharma, who ventured into Bollywood with his debut film “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon” during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, says that he does not like immersing the Ganesha idol at the end of the festival as the rituals go.
Kapil says that he cleans the idol at the end of the festival and keeps it back in the temple.
“I never liked immersing the idol at the end of the festival. As a habit, I clean the idol and keep it back in his temple at home,” the “Comedy Nights with Kapil” host told radio channel 92.7 BIG FM.
Kapil had joined the ‘BIG Green Ganesha’ initiative, organised by the radio channel, to pledge his support to the cause of going green.
92.7 BIG FM has been involved in the initiative to go green with ‘BIG Green Ganesha’ for the past eight years, urging people to use eco-friendly materials to create their Ganesh idols.
