IFS officers take up issue of promotions with CS

The Indian Forest Service Association, J&K Branch deputation met the Chief Secretary B R Sharma in his office chamber here today and discussed the issues of  Forest Officers.
The Association president, Ravi Kumar Kesar apprised the Chief Secretary about important issues confronting the IFS cadre officers in the State. He brought to the notice of the Chief Secretary that the promotions are overdue at all levels from Conservator to the apex scale despite the fact that both the vacancies  and eligible officers are available and even these have been cleared by Establishment Committee meeting held in January, 2015.
He further narrated to Mr Sharma that the IFS cadre officers need to be given proper protocol in public functions and various meetings at State and district level and due to lack of it, the cadre officers face embarrassment at different levels. The Chief Secretary gave a patient hearing to all the issues highlighted by the Association and assured appropriate action.
The meeting was attended by office bearers and members of the executive committee of the IFS Association comprising of  Arun Tickoo (vice president), Dr Rajeev Kumar Tiwari (secretary),  Abdul Gani (joint secretary)  and Dr K Anandh (treasurer) besides Suresh Chugh, Suresh Gupta  and Dr Senthil Kumar-all executive body members.
