IGNOU to hold its 30th Convocation on April 13

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will hold its 30th Convocation on April 13, 2017 at the IGNOU Main Campus at Maidan Garhi for students passing in December 2015 and June 2016 Term End Examinations (TEE). It is a matter of pride for the Regional Centre Jammu that as many as 8004 candidates under Jammu region have been declared eligible to receive Degree/Diplomas in the 30th Convocation.
In Jammu, Professor R D Sharma, vice chancellor, University of Jammu, will be the chief guest on this occasion and will distribute Degrees and Diplomas among the learners.
The 30th Convocation will be held at the Convention Centre in IGNOU’s main campus at Maidan Garhi from 02:30 P.M. to 04:30 P.M. It will simultaneously be organized at the all the Regional Centres wherever the number of candidates attending the convocation is expected to be around 250. Rest of the Degrees/Diplomas are being sent to the concerned learners through Speed post after the Convocation is over.
In Jammu, the Convocation function is being organized in the Auditorium of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar.
The students were supposed to get themselves registered for the 30th Convocation by paying Rs.600/- per degree / certificate at the convocation. It is a matter of great pleasure and pride for IGNOU Regional Centre Jammu that yet again one of our Learners namely Reetika Kumari of Bacelor of Library & Information Sciences (BLIS) programme will be getting Gold Medal for her meritorious performance in the said programme throughout the Country.
