IGP Security holds review meet, darbar at International Airport, Srinagar

A security review meeting followed by Darbar was held at International Airport Srinagar, which was presided by Shri Alok Kumar, IPS Inspector General of Police Security J&K. The security review meeting was attended by Director International Airport Srinagar, SSP Security AHJ International Airport Srinagar, Commandant 35 Bn CRPF, Commandant 182 Bn BSF, SSP CIK, representatives of SIB, SBK, Traffic, Airforce and different operating Airlines. At the outset, all the participants were welcomed by SSP Security AHJ International Airport Srinagar who gave a detailed presentation about the airport security. All the stakeholders were impressed upon by the IGP Security to remain extra vigilant in their areas of responsibility and to implement the guidelines/rules of BCAS and DDCA, so that foolproof security arrangements are in place.

After conclusion of the meeting, a darbar with officers/ officials of Security Unit AHJ Srinagar was held wherein some officials projected their grievances before the IGP Security who in turn assured redressal of these under rules. While addressing the darbar, the IGP Security enjoined upon all to perform their duties with utmost dedication and devotion, keeping in view the present security scenario and to be firm but polite while on duty. The darbar concluded with vote of thanks by SSP AHJ Srinagar.
