Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) organized workshop on Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to sensitize the teaching and non teaching staff of the college.
While addressing the gathering, Professor J. R. Dhotra, Director of the institute welcomed all the participants in the workshop. He explained that higher education is the backbone of any society and it is the quality of higher education that decides the quality of human resources in a country.
He further opined that higher education is generally understood to cover teaching, research and extension. Thereafter, he requested Professor S. K. Gupta, Director, IQAC, being the resource person of today’s workshop to start the proceedings of the workshop.
Professor Gupta informed the participants that quality as a concept has its origin in the business and industry in the 20th century and is a continuous process.
While explaining the four major concepts of higher education, he communicated the gathering that the core values of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for higher education system in our country envisage, National Development, Fostering global competitiveness, including ethical values, Promote use technology, Create an atmosphere and quest for excellence.
He concluded the discussions by making remarks that quality education has become a very important need as well as a matter of concern in the recent past.
