In between the wars of provocations, and PM Narendra Modi’s silence following Manmohan Singh’s footsteps by staying quiet on India’s internal politics, a WhatsApp message had gone viral claiming ‘Bharat Bandh tomorrow (September 22). Exasperating Message; claimed that the entire India will observe complete shutdown on September 22 to mourn the death of 18 soldiers who lost their lives in terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Uri and will mark the national day of mourning.
Within such confusion, many believed that shutdown has been announced by the government to mourn the deaths of brave-hearts of Uri attack. In fact, Central government or any state government hasn’t announced anything like ‘national mourning day’ on September 22. However, with expressions of grief concerns and painful feelings, over the loss of lives in Uri militant attacks, the chairman of the hard-line Hurriyat conference’Syed Ali Shah Geelani’persistentlya pro-Pakistan among the separatists, criticised politicians for creating a war-like situation. But, still didn’t announce any relaxation in the strike being leading the current agitation in the Valley, where normal life remained affected for the 75th consecutive day.
On other side, newspapers and news websites alongside social-media etc. have been flooded with mentions of Army movements and tightness on borders withall three wings of defence forces on high alert. Then, Race Course Road renamed, PM has a new address – 7LKM (LokKalyanMarg).

Jharkhand chief minister Raghubir Das also announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of two soldiers from the state.Bihar’s announces 5 lakh as compensation for the Uri martyrs from the state, however, Suneeta, widow of Hav Ashok Kumar Singh turned down the compensation. “Was my husband a drunkard who died in a drain,” she reacted when she had refused to accept the paltry sum announced. This reaction went viral on social media and the Bihar government revised the
compensation to Rs 11 lakh on Tuesday.
Needless to mention here that within all such tensions &broadcasts, a news that two American lawmakers on Tuesday introduced legislation in the US Congress aimed atdesignating Pakistan as a state sponsor of terrorism in a humiliating setback to Islamabad ahead of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s speech before the UN General Assembly.
However, Pakistanthat has denied its role in Uri attack alleged that India was using the attack to divert attention from “human rights violations” in Kashmir. And, Pakistan today cancelled flights to Northern areas to make way for rehearsal of warplanes. Pakistan’s top airliner on Wednesday cancelled flights to the country’s Northern Areas in the wake of threats of strikes by India following a strike on a military base in Uri, a media report said.Express Tribune reported that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) cancelled its flights to Northern areas following the closure of airspace by Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
It said that there was no official reason was given behind the suspension of flights, but reports suggested that Pakistan’s warplanes were “engaged in a takeoff and landing rehearsal amid threats from India following attack on its Srinagar military base.” At the end, and near all such open-mesh frames, one must repeat the lines of famous gazal sung by Melody Queen Lata&Jagjit Singh:
Roz jitahuarozmartahua, Harnaye din nayaintezaraadmi, Phirbhitanhaiyonkashikaaraadmi
