INC workers’ holds protest against state govt

The workers of Indian National Congress (INC) took out a protest rally through the Ramban main bazaar and held a protest at the bus stand against the alleged maladministration anti -people policies of the BJP-PDP coalition government in J&K, here today.
The protest rally was led by Secretary, JKPCC, Ex-MLA, Ramban, Ashok Kumar, District INC President, Arun Singh Raju, District INC Working President, Farooq Ahmed Katoch and INC District President (Women), Narinder Kour.
After vociferous demonstration at the bus stand, Ramban which had disrupted the traffic on the NHW(NH44) for some time the deputation submitted a memorandum consisting of their main demands and grievances to the ADC, Ramban, Babu Ram as the DC,Ramban, Mohd,Aijaz Assad was away in a meeting at Jammu.
The memorandum included the anomalies and inconsistencies of NFSA, the insufficient ration supplies to the rationees ; ignoring of local unemployed in the NHW widening/4 -laning project ;paucity of staff in hospitals and schools ; unavailability of drinking water in the Degree College, Ramban; demand starting of classes at the Jawahar Navodya Vidyalya in Ramban ; starting of BA/BSc classes at the Government Degree College, Kastigarh; starting of the 11th and 12th classes in the upgraded schools at Kenthi, Halla, Gurmul and Bulandpur ; release of long pending MGNREGA wages; release of salaries of employees of RMSA,SSA, RETs, daily rated PHE and PDD wokers; starting of Air Ambulance at Ramban and Doda headquarters; black topping of PMGSY roads; construction of Receiving Stations at Chanderkot, Rajgarh, Gandhri and Kastigarh ; hostels for SC and ST boys and girls students and payment of enhanced pension of Rs 1,000 to the widows and old persons.
