The trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence is here!
Jeff Goldblum’s David Levinson and Bill Pullman’s President Whitmore have returned to save Earth from the now evolved aliens in the sequel to the 1996 blockbuster Independence Day.
This time, the heroic duo is joined by the characters played by Liam Hemsworth, Joey King, Vivica A Fox, and Sela Wardamong others.
Director Roland Emmerich has previously said that the sequel will take place 20 years after the alien attack in the first film starring Will Smith.
Liam Hemsworth, talking about his character Jake Morrison, said that Jake was an orphan after he lost his parents in the first attack. He joins the military and becomes fighter pilot who gets a job of driving a moon tug, which he called ‘a forklift on the moon’
The movie will hit theatres on June 24, 2016, adding to the exciting line up of summer movies.
