India, Pak armies exchange sweets on Eid at Kashmir border

The armies of India and Pakistan on Wednesday exchanged greetings and sweets on Eid-ul-Fitr.

“The auspicious festival of Eid-Ul-FITR was marked by bonhomie at the borders with Forces on both sides greeting each other and exchanging sweets,” said an army spokesman.

He said the security forces of India and Pakistan along the borders at Uri and Tangdhar today exchanged sweets and pleasantries on the festive occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr in a genial and cordial atmosphere.

“Such gestures are deemed to foster peace and harmony and promote prosperity and happiness,” he said.
