IndiGo will introduce three new flights from Chennai — to Port Blair, Hyderabad and Delhi — by end of this month.
The flight to Port Blair and Hyderabad will be launched on September 30 while the service to Delhi will begin on September 28.
The flight to Hyderabad will be the airline’s eight one on the route while it will be its 11th service to Delhi.
“With 846 flights connecting 41 destinations across the globe, these new flights will allow corporate and leisure travellers to experience on-time performance IndiGo is synonymous with, thus further consolidating IndiGo’s position as the fastest growing airline in India,” the airline said in a statement.
Aditya Ghosh, president, IndiGo, said, “We are extremely pleased about adding Port Blair as our 41st destination. Chennai holds great importance for us, with the increasing demand for air travel to and from the city and adjoining states. The new flight schedules will provide greater flexibility of choice for our customers, as IndiGo continues to offer them on time, hassle-free and always affordable flying experience.”
Chennai-Port Blair flight will depart at 8.55am while Port Blair-Chennai will depart at 11.45am. Chennai -Delhi flight will leave at 8.15pm, and Delhi-Chennai will leave at 4.35pm. Chennai-Hyderabad flight will depart at 2.35pm and Hyderabad-Chennai will leave at 6.50am.
The one-way lowest fare on these routes will be Rs 4,499 to Port Blair, Rs 3,679 to Delhi and Rs 1,804 to Hyderabad.
