Krishtu Jyoti Convent School won the under-17 girls doubles title in the inter-school badminton tournament of Samba zone held under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, here.
Representing Kristu Jyoti, the pair of Kriti Singh and Ridhima Slathia defeated the duo of Savi Rajput and Kajal of National High School 21-17 in one-set game.
The under-17 boys’ double title went to Cooperative High School beating Government High School Daini. Ujwal Gupta and Vishav Partap Singh outplayed the pair of Harsh Padha and Naginder Kumar 21-15.
In under-14 doubles final, GMS Kehli Mandi beat NV Dhalote.
Earlier, the competition was declared open by district officer, Samba, Subash Chander and Principal of the host school, Arvin Koul. The event is being conducted under the overall supervision of ZEPO Samba, Rakesh Verma.
