International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking observed

Narcotics Control Bureau, Jammu division organised Nukkad Natak/skits for truck drivers in particulars and Public in general for raising awareness among them on International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking at Checkpost Lakhanpur. People were made aware about the menace of drug abuse and illicit trafficking in narcotic drug and psychotropic substances. The programme was held in the supervision of K.P Tiwari, Superintendent, Narcotic Control Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of Inda, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Through Nukad Natak/Skit, people were made aware how this drug abuse is bringing havoc into their lives. Also explained how a person as a parent, as an elder and as a teacher can help youth to stay away from drug and its addiction. Highlighting the dangers associated with drugs abuse, he urged the drivers to refrain from drug abuse which may ruin their life. About 400-500 drivers were present and they were motivated to get out of the web of this drug abuse.
