Frustrated Pakistani Intelligence agency-ISI has again started its sinister design in Punjab and J&K by instigating the gullible youth by offering money.

According to inputs, they have also connected terrorists from Jammu division in their plan.

Recently Punjab Police have received inputs unearthing the evil design of Pakistan agencies and now there is urgent need to keep watch on Jammu based underground terrorists of organizations like Khalistan Zindabad, Khalistan Commando Force.

Security agencies and the Punjab Police have busted a Khalistani terrorist module with links to NRIs and Pakistan’s notorious Inter Service Intelligence (ISI).

According to sources, some elements from Jammu Division are also involved in this plan.

The module was busted in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur district, 190 km from Jammu, where Punjab Police has arrested three suspects, all linked to the Khalistan Liberation Force and booked two Non Resident Indians (NRIs) on charge of trying to revive terrorism in Punjab in a joint operation of central security agencies and Punjab Police. They recovered three pistols, ammunitions and explosives and nearly 15 bullet-proof jackets from their hideouts.

The terror suspects are from the KLF, an insurgent group which was part of the separatist Khalistan movement in Punjab during 1980.

“Avtar Singh and Harjap Singh, who is based in the US, were in touch with Jaspreet and motivated him to revive the Khalistan movement in Punjab. They even sent him money, religious literature and T-shirts.

Jaspreet roped in two more youths –Hardeep Singh and Kuldeep Singh for this purpose,” an investigating officer said.

After tracking their activities for a few days, Punjab Police and central agencies took Jaspreet and Hardeep into custody. Kuldeep was taken into custody based on the questioning of these youths.

“The names of at least four other Khalistan sympathizers have been revealed, who are part of this module. These people were trying to collect explosives and ammunition. Investigations are in progress,” the sources said.

Besides the three KLF activist and two NRIs, others names mentioned in the FIR (First Information Report) included Vikramjit Singh and Balwinder Singh of Gurdaspur district.

The NRIs booked included Italy based Avtar Singh, and US based Harjap Singh Japi, who are linked to radical Sikh organizations in the US.

Police sources told that further investigations were in progress and some other people have been taken into custody and were being interrogated. The module is also being linked to terror and separatist outfits in neighbouring Jammu and Kashmir.

Though, Khalistan Zindabad, Khalistan Commando Force and Wassan Singh Zaffarwal Group have almost been neutralized but some terrorist mainly Ranjit Singh Nittha is still underground.

Some agencies are of the view that Nitha is presently at Pakistan and security agencies in Punjab are closely keeping watch on him.

Police sources said that suspects had revealed during interrogation that the weapons and bullet proof jackets have been brought from Pakistan via the border belt in Tarn Taran district of Punjab.

Keeping in view of upcoming Independence Day celebration, J&K Police is trying its best to not to succeed any plan of Pak ISI.
