Former minister and District President National Conference Reasi, Jagjeevan Lal has sought immediate fulfillment of commitments made with the Baradaris of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, saying some of the issues continue to remain pending for decades.
While appreciating the good work of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Lal said that the Baradaris had served the pilgrims for decades and their justified demands are required to be fulfilled. He said a delegation of the former Baradaries wanted to bring the problems to the notice of the Prime Minister but they were not allowed to do so.
Jagjeevan Lal also sought free treatment to the patients of Reasi District in the newly launched Super Specialty Hospital at Kakrayal saying this will go well with the mission of the Board. “As part of its social responsibility, we hope the Board will consider our plea”, he said.
The former minister also sought the intervention of the Centre in sorting out the issue of promotions to the reserved categories of Jammu and Kashmir and said this was imperative for empowerment of these segments of the society.
