Jammu and Kashmir doctors observed pen-down strike for 2 hours

More than 3,000 doctors in Jammu and Kashmir participated in the two hour pen down strike during the first half on Wednesday.

Doctors  Association  Jammu (DAJ) did 2 hours pen down strike in the protest for non fullfillment of their long pending geniune demands .pen down strike was observed in all the peripheral hospitals of Jammu division.

President DAJ, Dr Balvinder singh said two hour pen down strike in all hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir state was much expected as the doctors working in rural health care system are disappointed due to callous attitude of state government. We request our health minister to kindly intervene and solve our genuine demands as soon as possible. DAJ has high hopes from honourable health minister being a doctor health minister will better understand our problems.Doctors of Jammu and Kashmir had decided to go for indefinite strike from 25th May if all genuine demands of doctors are not solved.

Meanwhile Doctors Association Jammu is thankful to people of state for full cooperation and understanding doctors miseries.

Demands of doctors which are pending infront of government include extra two and half day salary ,risk allowances , rural allowances, offence against health officials a non-bailable offence,  and clear cut posting and transfer policy.
