Janardhan Reddy’s ‘driver’ commits suicide

New Delhi. December 7

In fresh trouble for the Reddys, a man in Karnataka reportedly committed suicide accusing Karnataka mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy and a Karnataka Administrative Service  (KAS)officer of harassing him, CNN-News 18 reported. The Indian Express could not verify the same.

Ramesh Gowda, reportedly Reddy’s driver, named Reddy and a KAS officer in his suicide note accusing them of harassing him because he knew how they converted Rs 100 crore of black money for Reddy’s daughter’s wedding. CNN-News 18 reports that he committed suicide by consuming poison. Gowda alleged that Reddy paid 20 per cent commission to the KAS officer, news agency ANI reported.

This was done post the demonetisation announcement by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 8, 2016. Gowda worked as a driver in Bengaluru. More details are awaited.
