The Prakash Singh committee, constituted by the Haryana government to probe acts of omission and commission on part of police and civil administration officials during the February Jat quota violence, has indicted 90 officials including IPS and IAS officers.
Singh, who submitted the inquiry report to chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday, said the panel did not find any deficiency on part of intelligence wing of the state police.
A former IPS officer himself, Singh said the panel came across cases of malafide on part of officers.
“In one sub division, officials deliberately didn’t enforce rule of law for about six hours, allowing anti-social elements a free run. There were instances of deliberate negligence also. These are unpardonable,” Singh said.
The retired IPS officer said among 90 officials indicted by the panel about 30% were from Rohtak.
