J&K bank looted by gunmen in South Kashmir

Unidentified gunmen today looted a branch of Jammu and Kashmir Bank (JKB) in south Kashmir district of Shopian, official sources said.
They said a group of gunmen entered a JKB branch at Harmain Shopian immediately after the bank resumed normal working today. Gunmen later looted cash from the bank after threatening employees and other customers at gun point.
The exact number of cash looted from the bank was being ascertained, they said adding security forces rushed to the area and launched a massive hunt to nab the looters.
About half a dozen banks were looted in south Kashmir during this year by gunmen.
