J&K needs strong leadership for development, peace & prosperity: Manjit Singh

Condemning divisive politics to create a wedge among the people of two regions, Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP), Provincial President and Former Minister Manjit Singh today said that Jammu and Kashmir need strong and committed leadership for development, peace and prosperity.

“JKAP stands for development and prosperity without misleading people with emotional sloganeering,” said Manjit Singh. He was speaking before a group of people from Raipur-Domana assembly constituency who joined J&K Apni Party. Prominent among these people include Sardar Balwant Singh, Sardar Amrik Singh, Sardar Surjeet Singh, Ex-Sarpanch Muthi Kali Dass and others from village Jungwari, Raipur-Domana.

They joined the J&K Apni Party under the leadership of Manjit Singh and hailed the decision of JKAP President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari for appointing him as Jammu’s Provincial President of the Party. Speaking on the occasion, the Former Minister said the JKAP does not believe in misleading people with false promises and hollow slogans to win elections.

“We want to change politics in Jammu and Kashmir with truthfulness to the people. There is no place for divisive politics or regional politics. We have founded a party with an idea to unite people of two regions,” said Manjit Singh. The deputation from Raipur-Domana Assembly Constituency appraised him about various problems being faced by the residents of Gadi Jungwari village. They said that the people do not have an irrigation system, under-developed cremation ground and construction of roads. On hearing their demands, Manjit Singh appealed to the Government to construct the road, develop infrastructure in two cremation grounds and improve irrigation system in the above-said village.
