J&K State Karate Championship organised at M A Stadium

Jammu Tawi, December 22
The two day Championship is being organized by Amateur Karate Do Association of Jammu & Kashmir (AKAJK) affiliated to Karate Association of India (KAI) recognized by Govt. of India (Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports) member World Karate Federation (WKF) & Asian Karate Do Federation (AKF) recognized by International Olympic Committee (IOC).
More than 400 participants from different districts viz Jammu, Rajouri, Kathua, Reasi, Srinagar, Ganderbal, Anantnag,, Kupwara, Kishtwar , Leh , Kargil, , Udhampur, Baramulla, Pulwama are participating in the tournament here at M A Stadium Indoor Multipurpose Hall Jammu.
Sahil Singh Langeh won gold in the championship.
He was also selected by KAI to represent in the championship at GOA.
Zamir Ahmed Thakur Joint Secretary Kashmir Jand k state Sports Council and Shiv Kumar Sharma joint secretary Jammu sports council were the chief guest and guest of Honour, Faiz Ahmed, Nazeer Ahmed Bhat, Rahil Gupta Member state sports council presided over the function while Rajan Sharma Sports officer (Division), Haji Abdul Quiyum (CSO), Ashok Singh, Satish Gupta, Ravi Singh were the special guest on the occasion.
Joint Secretary Kashmir and Jammu give the assurance to Ambedkar Gupta president AKAJK and all the players of karate to provide all type of facilities and support to promote this dynamic sport of karate in Jammu and Kashmir.
The tournament is being conducted as per the rules and regulations of WKF/ KAI and under the technical supervision of Shihan Rajneesh Choudhary Refree & Judge “A” (AKF), Refree Commission Member (KAI) from New Delhi.
