Ashutosh family was today felicitated in Gharana -10( A series of family based performances) in a programme organised by the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in Collaboration with Doordarshan Kendra, Jammu in Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. This programme is organized on 27th day of every month in recognition of commendable services rendered to the society in the respective field by the families of Jammu region. Vijay Sambyal popularly known as Rangeeley Thakur was the chief guest on the occasion.
While delivering his speech as chief guest, Vijay Sambyal applauded the role of the J&K Cultural Academy for their sincere efforts in promoting the culture, art and literature. He also appreciated Ashutosh family and particularly Ms Mukteshi for her scintillating performce in today’s programme. Earlier delivering his welcome address, Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages threw light on the importance of this programme and highlighted how this programme is proving beneficial for the new
generation. He said that this programme is also getting attraction of the people and there is every possibility that this programme will definitely yield positive results in near future in bringing the youth of today ahead which. Born on 1958 in Jammu in a family of Ram Dutt Mangotra and Kailash Mangotra, Ashutosh Mangotra hardly needs any introduction in the field of Classical Music. He is Sangeet Bhaskar from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh. and has further attained Classical training from Gurus like Pt. Ram Chandra Ek Nath Dasakkar of Bombay, Janab Jagar Nath Shiv Pual, V.K.Sambyal former Director Radio Kashmir Jammu and Prof. B.S.Bali.
Presently he is running musical Institutes namely Tansen Sangeet MahaVidyalaya Channi,Jammu and Heritage Strings, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu where an appreciable strength is getting Classical Education . He has produced a number of Classical Musicians including his daughter Mukteshi who has proved her worth by winning continues seven times best Award in the Vocal Classical Music Competition held by the JKAACL and continues five time fist prize in Vocal/Light and Semi Classical Competition by the University of Jammu under display your talent
The Proceedings of the prgorammes were conducted by Sh. Smt.Bindiya Ticku a well known artist and Anchor of the State whereas Sh. Vijay Atri renowned announcer, artist ,writer readout a detailed paper on the life and works of Ashutosh Mangotra . Vote of thanks was presented by Ashok Gupta, Editor Dogri. The Ashutosh family was also honored on the occasion.
