Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages on Friday organized Traditional Dogri Music Programme at Gujroo Nagrota. A.K Arora, Patron, Bal Bhawan, Jammu was the Chief Guest and Inderjeet Kesar, an eminent writer presided. While delivering his presidential address, Inderjeet Kesar appreciated the initiatives taken by JKAACL ans said that organizing activities related with regional folk of the Jammu province and approaching to the rural and remote areas is the real service for the promotion and development of language, literature and culture of the respective areas.
Appreciating the performances of local folk artists, he said that Dogra region has rich cultural heritage depicting the diverse image of the state. He also hope that such more activities in this area be arranged to cover the other fields of visual and performing arts. A.K Arora, the Chief Guest of the programme also spoke on the occasion and applauded the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages for accelerating number of activities covering the rural folk. Others who were present during the occasion including Narayan Dutt Tiwari, Dinesh Kumar Khajuria, Gujinder Gupta, Naresh Kumar Gupta, Dr. Vijay Gupta and Kuldeep Abrol.
