3rd International Art Exhibition concludes

The 3rd International Art Exhibition organized by Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu at Kala Kendra, Jammu concluded here today. A valedictory function was organized where Kavinder Gupta, Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly was the chief guest. M Y Taing, former director general Culture, J&K State government was guest of honour and Drakshan Andrabi was special guest on this occasion.
The paintings and artifacts of veteran and senior artists as well as upcoming artists of the country were displayed in the show.
Prominent Indian artists whose works were displayed in the exhibition included N D Jamwal, Gokal Dembi, T S Batra, Jang S Verman, Ganesh Sharma, Ashok Mehra, Anuradha, Amrit Kaur, Jatinder Kaur, Rekha Gupte, Megha Khajuria, Jammu, Aslam Naqishbandi and Rouf Quasi, Srinagar, Tsering Youdol, Ladakh, Dr. Mamta Singh, Dehra Doon, Dr. A K, New Delhi, Naveen Dhiman, Sunder Nagar (HP), Prabhinder Lall and Ruchi Chaddha, Chandigarh, Maria Hossain, US, Olga K ozulenko, Russia and others are representing the artists from abroad.
Kavinder Gupta in s address said that JKCCA is doing appreciable job to project art at international level. He said that he would support for this good cause in all respects. He stressed upon the need to involve truth particularly school and college children to know the art & culture of the area.
M Y Yousaf said that JKCCA needs to be appreciated for its efforts to preserve and promote art & culture activities in the state and projecting the art and artists of the state at international level. He applauded JKCCA for its prospective International Art Exhibition at Dhaka during December, 2017 in which the work of J&K state artists would be displayed with that of artists from many other countries.
Drakshan Andrabi, soujanya Sharma, Secretary Kala Kendra and Prof. Rita Jitendra, Former Secretary, Cultural Academy, Jammu also expressed their views.
Earlier O P Sharma, Director, JKCCA, welcomed the guests and elaborated on the activities and functioning of organization JKCCA.
