JKGECLWPUP stages protest against govt, highlight demands

A protests /rallies were held throughout state at all the district headquarters of the state under the banner of J&K Government Employees, Casual Labours, Workers and Pensioners United Platform (JKGECLWPUP) today to press the state government for immediate settlement of their demands.
During protest, the leaders said that the prices of essential commodities are touching the sky and 7th pay commission have been implemented to the central government employees and has also become due to the state government employees/public sector workers and pensioners. However need base casual labours of all the departments engaged after 1994 are working without any regularization policy since 1994 and most of the highly educated casual labours have become overaged and cannot apply anywhere for govt service. The casual labours of all the departments who are already on streets under the banner of JKGECLWPUP for the last 04 months and has announced protests/strike programme on 3rd and 4th January will continue the programme in different ways till the presentation of the budget. While addressing the rally at Panam Chowk, senior trade union leaders Mohammad Gafoor Dar, convener of the united platform, S. Kulwant Singh, Com. Hari Singh, Tanveer Hussain, Akhil Sharma, Rajan Sharma, Rajinder Kumar, Nazir Ahmed Molvi, Balbadar Raj, Puneet Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar, Bhanu Partap Singh, Deepak Gupta, Subash Chander, Vikramjeet Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Sheesh Kumar, Karan Singh, Pardeep Singh,Vijay Choudhary, Surjeet Manyal, Raj Singh and others appealed to the Chief Minister to intervene personally for final resolution of the burning demand of regularization policy for casual labours.
