Denouncing the Kashmir Bandh call given by the separatists today against the establishment of Composite Township for Kashmiri Pandits and Sainik Colony in the valley as deep rooted anti-national conspiracy, a battalion of Panther activists spearheaded by Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and Yashpal Kundal President Young Panthers staged a vociferous protest at Exhibition Ground Jammu on Thursday. The infuriated protestors torched the effigy of the BJP-PDP coalition for pushing Hurriyat agenda in Kashmir.
While revealing the tragic tale of mass exodus of KPs from the valley in the early nineties before the media, Singh lambasted the secessionist forces of Kashmir for their inhumane stance opposing the return and rehabilitation of KP’s back to their native land with dignity and honour. He said that the Kashmir Bandh called by the separatists today against the establishment of separate colonies for the KP’s and Sainik Colony in Kashmir was highly provocative, seditious and divisive in nature. Eulogizing the pivoted role of Indian Army in safeguarding the boundaries of the nation besides ensuring the union of State with the rest of country, Singh asserted that Sainik Colony should be established in Kashmir for the ex-servicemen and their families on the analogy of Jammu as a tribute to their supreme services and sacrifices. He asked the Hurriyat and secessionist leaders that how could they forget the sacrifice of Indian jawans in combating insurgency in Kashmir and the catastrophic deluge of Sept. 2014 floods in particular, when Indian Army came to the rescue of Kashmiris and saved their lives. Accusing the Saffron brigade for playing the politics of subterfuge, Singh said that BJP at the centre was making grandiloquent pronouncements over the return and rehabilitation of KP’s in Composite Townships in the valley but in the State BJP had totally succumbed to the dictates of its ally PDP for the taste of power. He said that it was established from the fact when the proposal of such separate colonies in Kashmir which was backed by senior BJP leaders in New Delhi was out rightly rejected by the CM. He condemned the statement of the BJP partnered State government which categorically said that there was no land in Kashmir for establishment of Sainik Colony and there was no question of making exclusive colonies for the Kashmiri Pundits in the valley.
He said that the Saffron party was only allowing the separatist agenda of eroding heterogeneous diversity of Kashmir which was perfidious and treacherous.
