JKNPP protest over deferring implementation of 7th Pay Commission

Expressing their resentment over the state government for deferring implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations for Government employees, scores of Panthers Party activists led by Harsh Dev Singh, chairman JK NPP, Yashpal Kundal, state president and other leaders held massive protest demonstration today at Exhibition ground.
While speaking to the media persons, Harsh Dev Singh lambasted the state government for postponing the implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations for the Government employees for another two years. He said the coalition government in the state was least bothered about the welfare of the employees which had also failed to regularize the services of more than 60,000 casual employees who had been languishing and protesting in open for their demands since long. Singh deplored the selfish attitude of the state government wherein state legislatures passed the bill for doubling the salaries and allowances. Harsh Dev Singh divulged that the people of Jammu region had voted BJP to power but unfortunately none of the saffron party’s MLA could rake up the genuine issues of the people in the assembly which had immensely dented the pride and honour of the electorate of Jammu region.
He said that giving a nod to the bill pertaining to doubling their salaries, BJP legislators ruthlessly jettisoned the sensitive issues of casual workers, demanding regularization of services
He demanded immediate implementation of the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission for the state government employees at par with the Central government employees and exhorted upon the state dispensation to devise a mechanism to regularize the services of the aforesaid employees at the earliest to liberate them from the clutches of starvation and other miseries.
In the same protest, Yashpal Kundal deplored that rather than raking up genuine and legitimate issues of the public, saffron MLAs indulged in ridiculous clamouring inside assembly house over their salary, CDF, plots, powers thus making a mockery of themselves.
He said BJP create ruckus over the issues of employees while in opposition but now openly indulged in realizing its petty vested interest.
He said the criminal silence and utter failure of the BJP had unveiled its incompetent, perfidious and servile character for which it would pay a heavy price in the coming days.
