JKPYC expresses concern over non-issuance of state subjects

Pankaj Basotra Advocate, General Secretary J&K Pradesh Youth Congress has expressed its concern over the non issuance of the State Subjects by the Sub Divisional Magistrate Billawar where most of the people are being harassed on the one pretext or the others with the reason of corrupt practice.

In a statement issued here today Pankaj Basotra said that so many people approaching him since last six months and put forth their complaints that the S.D.M. Billawar has rejected most of the files submitted by the concerned Tehsildars after proper verification pertaining to State Subjects of the poor and down trodden people of the area and the people are facing very hardship for want of the same. The most sufferers are the youngster who requires the state subject for employment and other study under several programmes but the said people are roaming in the office of the Revenue Record Room Jammu for getting the revenue record prior to 1950 and after that verification from the Record Room Incharge which is not required under rule.

Pankaj Basotra further said that he has already taken up the matter with the higher authority about the non functioning and anti people attitude of the S.D.M. but all in vain because of the political shelter from the local politicians and warned that if the attitude of the said officer has not been changed than he will approach the Chief Minister of the state to take action and transfer the said officer from the present post which is meant for public and post him at the civil secretariat.
