JKSCOA calls upon LA panel to discuss SRO 105

A joint delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Stone Crusher Owners Association (JKSCOA) today called upon House Committee constituted by Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly in Srinagar to review the implementation of controversial
SRO 105.
A press note said that a joint delegation of both the provinces under the leadership of Ch Vikram Randawa called upon the House Committee to put forth the pros and cons following the implementation of SRO 105. The committee headed by its chairman Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Mohd Akbar Lone held a threadbare discussion with the delegation.
Ch Vikram, during the interaction, apprised the House Committee about the ill effects of this SRO on this vital industry related with the construction and development of the nation.
Randhawa criticised the bureaucratic approach of the government for unlawfully implementing SRO 105.
He said not only the Stone Crusher Industry but the public in general will also suffer a lot if the same is not revoked while the issue of environment degradation was also highlighted during the discussion.
Ch Vikram urged upon the House Committee to put forth the report before the House keeping into consideration the survival of the Stone Crusher Industry in Jammu and Kashmir and stressed for complete exemption of royalty by contractors from unit holders. He said that the department of Geology and Mining should directly charge from stone crusher units holders.
Those who were part of the delegation include Anil Gaind, Bashir Ahmad, GN Rather, Dev Choudhary, Raju Parry, Mustaq Ahmad, Subash Sharma, Uttam Singh, Vijay Sharma and Charan Choudhary.
