JMC imposes 6800 fine to defaulters, seizes eight rehries

A team of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today imposed six thousands eight hundreds fine to defaulters who was sealing unstamped meat and seized eight rehris which were disobedience the rule of JMC.
The team led by Veterinary Officer, Dr. Jaswant Singh along with other staff conducted surprise drive at Janipur, Newplot, CPO Chowk Panjtirthi, etc. and checked various meat shops. During inspection, the team founded the meat sealers were sealing unstamped meat and even some were found selling it by hanging it outside their shops.
Officers appealed all meat shopkeepers dealing with meat/chicken products to maintain hygienic environment in and around their shops and make available quality products to the consumers. Meanwhile, The team of Revenue staff continues the drive against menace of illegal rehries and toured the areas of Akhnoor Road, Canal Road, Bakshi Nagar, Jewel and others places. The team lifted eight rehries who were playing on the main road creating traffic hindrance and not plying rehri in rehri zone established by JMC. In addition to this the team also seized weighing machines & other allied materials of the defaulters and also got footpaths & pavements cleared from the habitual encroachers. Jammu Municipal Corporation appeals to all the rehri owners to obtain licence and ply their rehris in the prescribed rehri zones.
