JMC launches thematic cleanliness drive at Peer Kho

Continuing the Thematic cleanliness drives being conducted in Educational Institutions and Tourist places with effect from September 1 to 30, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) launched a drive in Peer-Kho Temple area Jammu.
The drive was launched by Neeraj Gupta, Chief Accounts Officer (KAS), Ranjeet Singh Secretary (KAS), JMC and Dr Anita Salgotra, Health Officer, JMC besides other
supervisory sanitation staff of JMC.
Shashi Prabha Head Mistress Govt. Primary School Peer-Kho was also present among the other teaching staff and students of the school.
Sufficient number of men and machinery was deployed by health and sanitation wing/ transport wing for this drive. During this drive the whole Peer Kho area were thoroughly cleaned. Desilting of drains and deep drains was done. About three vehicles of garbage and debris was removed with the help of vehicles deployed on the spot.
The students pledged to cooperate the Jammu Municipal Corporation for grand success of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and they will also educate the people to use container/dustbins for disposal of garbage.
One of the student namely Kajal Kumari of class 05th Govt. Primary School Peer-Kho was selected as messenger of Swachh Bharat Mission and she will spread the message of Jammu Municipal Corporation among the students of the School to keep the our School as well as the their residential places clean and green.
The Chief Accounts Officer advised the students and teaching staff to spread the message of cleanliness as well as various programmes being launched under Swachh Bharat Mission and also appealed to cooperate with Jammu Municipal Corporation in keeping Jammu clean and green.
