JMWC holds meeting, discuss issue of migrants

A meeting of Jammu Migrant Welfare Committee (JMWC) was held in which they highlighted several burning issue of migrant community. Addressing the meeting, President JMWC Suraj Rana said that 17 families under the court list but not placed in the list of the beneficiaries by the Relief organisation, Jammu. The other 13 Family (ies) who are already registered in the Nanak Nagar Zone, Jammu but have not been paid the arrears of the relief as per the Courts Decision. Similarly, the inclusion, additions and other alternations were not been made by the authorities concerned inspite of the Court’s directions. He also expressed concern over callous attitude of authorities for not paying attention towards Doda migrants who was entitled for the 10 Liters of disbursement of the K. oil and providing them financial assistance. The committee urged the government to address the genuine demands of the aggrieve migrant so that their issue on priority basis. Others who were present during the occasion including Vice Prez. Ali Mohd. Khan, General Secretary, Satish Kotwari, Advisor Joginder Singh and others.
