Maintaining that the decision to open the Kartarpur corridor should be seen in isolation, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Wednesday it did not mean that peace talks were on the table.
Speaking to mediapersons here, General Rawat, on being asked by mediapersons over the Kartarpur Corridor’s groundbreaking ceremony in Pakistan , said,”this should be seen in isolation and should not be linked with any thing.”
”It is being said by people that peace needs to be given a chance. However, we need to see what our government has said. You see what govt said today. This (Kartarpur Corridor) is to be seen in isolation. It shouldn’t be linked to anything else.”
”Kartapur Corridor happening does not mean peace talks are back on the table,”the Army Chief said.
