Kashmir students forced to write papers in biting cold

Students appearing in first year examinations across Kashmir valley on Wednesday alleged that they were forced to write their papers in biting cold.

They alleged that no heating arrangements were made by the authorities.

A group of students from Government Degree College Sopore said that the authorities had charged Rs 150 per student for heating arrangements in examination halls, but unfortunately no such facility was made available.

The students who appeared in examinations at Amar Singh College and other centres also voiced similar views and appealed the authorities to make heating arrangements.

“Our hands froze while writing the papers. The biting cold gave us a tough time,” said a group of students.
