Kashmiris are brethren, deserve equal rights as all other citizens of India: Wazir

Sikh organizations today said that the present political dispensation in Delhi is bent upon demolishing Sikh the secular character of the constitution of India which forms one of the prime fundamental of the preamble. In a press conference held here under the leadership of S S Wazir, former president J&K State Gurudwara Parbandak Board and chairman Sikh United Front J&K wherein he said that Sikhs shall not allowed dilution of secularism in India and Kashmiris are brethren and deserve equal rights as all other citizens of India. Wazir further deplored the putting up of large banners at various places in UP exhorting Kashmiris to leave the state of UP which again is a BJP ruled state apart from Rajasthan He future added that it is ironic and saddening that the Home Minister, Rajnath Singh had to come on TV saying that Kashmiris are the citizens of India and the Minister of Home Affaire has issued an advisory to all the states to check such kind of activity thereby admitting that the union government deliberately giving a leverage to fringe elements to create an atmosphere of fear among various sections of society in order to achieve hidden agenda of Hindutava. Sikh organizations condemned the treatment meted out to Kashmiris in various BJP ruled states of India where Kashmiri student have been harassed, ill treated and attacked, Mewar in Rajasthan is recent one such example.
Others who were present during the conference included Sheromani Akali Dal J&K, Bhai Kanhiya Nishkam Sewa Society, A.I.S.S.F., Sikh Welfare Society, Member D.G.P.C. Jammu, Sikh Naujwan Sabha, Dayal Singh Wazir president Sheromani Akali Dal J&K, Darbinder Singh, Ramneek Singh, Raja Singh, Fateh Singh all members D.G.P.C. Jammu, Surinder Singh Kala convener, J&K Motor Transport Company Association Jammu and others.
