Killings vitiate atmosphere: Cong

Strongly condemning firing on protestors at Nutnusa in Handwara, State President of Congress Ghulam Ahmed Mir said that killing of innocents is likely to vitiate the atmosphere

Mir said that killing of innocent people will deteriorate the situation to a larger extent. He added that these killings are grave threat to peace in the state. “Such type of incidents will continue to vitiate atmosphere of peace and tranquillity in the state,” added Mir.

Expressing grief over one more causality due to firing at Nutnusa Handwara in District Kupwara, Today leaving three persons injured, Mir strongly condemned the incident and asked PDP-led state government to accept the failure. Accusing PDP BJP Coalition government has failed to contain the situation; Mir said that while adding that state government has miserably failed to contain the situation and is unmoved by the continuous spate of killings. Congress chief offered condolences to bereaved family and sympathized with them

Meanwhile, MLC and Vice-President Ghulam Nabi Monga has strongly condemned the firing on protestors at Nutnusa Handwara today. He said situation has turned very serious in the Valley and Govt does not seem to be serious about it. Monga while demanding offering condolences to bereaved family sympathized with them.
