Kohli pays tributes to Dr Ambedkar

Jammu Tawi, January 29
Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Gani Kohli today paid rich tributes to Babasaheb Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, saying that Dr Ambedkar gave us a constitution which gives all citizens equal rights irrespective of their cast, color or creed.
The Minister said this during a function organized to observe 126th birth anniversary at village Kalyana here.
MLA R S Pura Dr Gagan Bhagat besides many prominent persons and large number of people were present on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, Kohli said that the contribution of Dr. B.R Ambedkar for betterment of the society especially for weaker and downtrodden sections is immense. He said that people, especially those working in the pubic field should take an inspiration from Dr Ambedkar’s life and make concerted efforts to uphold the values of liberty, equality and fraternity.
Saying that State Government has been working on the agenda of alliance which is based on development, the Minister assured that every effort will be made to ensure equitable development of all regions. Dr. Gagan Bhagat reiterating his commitment to towards developing R.S Pura into a model constituency, said that he is delighted to see participation of people from every section of the society and expressed hope that people will incorporate teachings of this great leader in their lives.
