Labourer dies after falling from building

A 50-year-old labourer died after he fell from a height of an under construction building at Shiva Nagar, Kathua on Sunday. According to the police a labourer was fell at the ground floor of under construction building and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
The deceased labourer was identified as Prem Chand S/o Sai Dass R/o Patyari, a native village of Kathua District, claimed the police. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
In the initial investigation the police found that the deceased used to work in the under construction residential building of owner namely Ramesh Chand S/o Tala Ram for the past few days. Police have claimed that the accident might have been caused due to negligence and action would be taken against the responsible person. In case if it is found that the death caused due to negligence a case of causing death by negligence would be registered. Police said that the accident took place at around 10 A.m while the construction worker slipped from under construction 3rd floor and was later on declared brought dead at DH.
