Lecture on “Waste Management” organised

Army organised a lecture on “Waste Management” at Lower Krishna Ghati in Poonch district, today. The lecture was to motivate the villagers to follow all possible measures to control the generation of different types of wastes and their disposal at the earliest. The locals were also made aware of the importance and requirement of increasing the green cover by planting trees in the area and contribute towards saving the environment for a healthier future.
Various innovative methods of waste disposal were discussed. The lecture was organised as an interactive session wherein participants were educated to take positive actions for environment protection. Basic adaptive techniques of hygiene (washing hands, bathing etc) to prevent communicable diseases were also discussed in detail.
On the occasion, the students were also educated on measures to reduce carbon imprints to keep the environment clean and healthier.
