Life remains affected for second day in Anantnag due to lockdown

Life remained affected for the second day on Saturday in this south Kashmir district, where district administration has imposed three-day lockdown from Friday in view of the surge in COVID-19 positive cases during the past few days.

Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, Kuldeep Krishan Sidha has issued an order on August 20 that restrictions will remain imposed on August 21 to 23 in the entire district.

However, local residents questioning re-imposition of the restrictions said that there was not much change in the COVID-19 positive cases since the fresh relaxation was announced from August 16, when the number of positive cases was 23. The number of positive cases was less than 50 from August 17 to 20 while it was 45 cases yesterday.
