Mammoth Rally in support of reservation in promotions held

A mammoth rally in favour of political solution to restoration of reservation in promotions was taken out jointly by Jammu Kashmir Reserved Categories Employees Association (JKRCEA) & All Socio-religious organisations which was actively supported by All J&K Mahasha Sadar Sabha, Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha’s of Kathua, Bagial, Hiranagr, Samba, and surrounding areas, Kabir Sabha’s, Bhagat Mahasabha, Backward Classes Union, Prajapati Sabha, Retired employees forums, BRAEF, BRAES, social activists from all the Reserved Categories, many Panches & Sarpanches. Dr. Sanjay Bhasin, President JKRCEA, the Chief Guest on the occasion led the rally alongwith, Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, general secretary JKRCEA, Ex-MLA Dhyan Chand, S.R.Magotra, Prof. Yash Paul, Dr. C.R Munde, Dr. P.K.Chouhan, Dr. Harydayal, Prof Saroop Chand, Bishan Dass, Babu Ram Bhagat, Bodh Raj Bhgat, Mohinder Bhagat, Romesh Chander (Retd Comdnt ITBP), H.R. Ramnotra, Dr. Shiv Kumar, Baldev Raj, Thoru Ram, Ravinder Sarpanch, Adv Mohinder Atri, M.R.Bangotra, and the executive members of JKRCEA units from Akhnoor, Marh, Domana, Udhampur, Mansar, Vijaypur, Samba, Bari Brahmna, Billawer, Basohli, Kathua and Hiranagar. About 10,000 strong gathering comprising of ladies, children, youth, elderly and employees from different reserved categories started march from community hall Hiranagar and travelled a distance of about 5 kms on foot in a well disciplined manner raising slogans in favour of restoration of reservation in promotions and were also demanding debate on reservation that who has eaten what of this great country. On the culmination of rally at Community Hall opposite Higher Secondary Schools Hiranagar that gave an attractive & fair like look, the leaders of socio-religious organisations, social activists & employee’s leaders sharing their thoughts with the public urged the state govt. to resolve this grave issue in the ensuing Assembly session. Dhayan Chand Ex-MLA, while lambasting the government said that by not contesting in favour of their own law which is in consonance with Article 370, 35-A of Indian Constitution & Article 6 of J&K Constitution, the present government has shown its total immaturity in legally dealing with the issues of public importance. He advised the government to immediately come up with political solution of restoration of reservation in promotion to regain the confidence of reserved categories.
