Markets in Jammu see huge Janamashtami rush amid COVID_19 threat

As Krishan Janamashtami is being celebrated across the Nation and in Jammu as well, a heavy rush was witnessed in the markets of Jammu city where people were seen flouting strict social distancing guidelines at public places amid Covid-19 pandemic.

Despite all claims of the administration, the market committee and the police have failed to keep a check on this menace. “Even there is nobody follows proper norms set by the government of India, there is no social distancing seen in the shops and some people openly adhere the norms by not wearing a face mask which poses a grave danger for transmission of the disease.

As we know, the Covid-19 cases are rising in Jammu and Kashmir but nobody bothered about this even Jammu district 1613 positive cases with 746 active positive cases and the total number of positive cases in the Union Territory to over 25000. The total number of people who died of the dreaded virus in the UT reached 485.

“Seeing this buzz in the market one cannot judge if there is any coronavirus threat in Jammu and Kashmir as people are openly adhering the guidelines by the Central and state government even after the tall claims by the administration to prevent this disease, “said a local.

They urged the administration to take strict action against it otherwise this will lead to major threat for our State.
