November 28: A large chunk of population lack medical amenities and do not have access to health care facilities. The medical facilities in the area are minimal and at places non-existent. The Army conducts medical camp on a regular basis which has generated enough awareness about health care amongst the locals and also developed goodwill relation with the Indian Army. Conduct of Medical Camp by the Army will not only provide the local populace with these specialised services but also create better bonhomie between Indian Army and Awaam in these rural and remote areas.
Speaking on the occasion civil dignitaries and local population expressed their gratitude towards the Indian Army for taking care of the people who were in dire need of such medical assistance. A total of 11 Artificial Limbs, 21 Wheel Chairs, 63 Hearing Aids and two Crutches were provided to the locals. The continuous and relentless effort of the Indian Army towards the conduct of such camps was appreciated and applauded by the villagers.
