Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today called on Governor N N Vohra and discussed issues related to the urgent restoration of peace and normalcy in the state.
“Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti met Governor N N Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here this evening.
“The Governor and Chief Minister discussed various important matters relating to the urgent restoration of peace and normalcy in the state,” an official spokesman said.
He said the meeting lasted for one hour.
The meeting comes on a day when leaders of opposition parties from the state led by Omar Abdullah met President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi and sought a political solution to the current crisis in Kashmir.
