Mehbooba Mufti slams security forces, says they are used for unfair polling

Former CM and chief of People’s Democratic Party, Mehbooba Mufti has raised allegations about the unfair means used in the voting for DDC elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to her tweet, the security forces are stopping the people in Matribugh, Shopian from coming out to vote excusing about the presence of militants. She also added that all this is done to support a particular party which is being allowed to campaign freely across the UT.

This is an important allegation by the party chief are the DDC elections are on-going and this could have a huge impact on politics.

The tweet said “Security forces have cordoned Matribugh in Shopian and are not allowing people to come out to vote under the pretext of presence of militants. In a brazen display of power, armed forces are being used to rig this election and favour a particular party allowed to campaign freely in Kashmir”
