JKPCC Chief G A Mir while paying rich tributes to Former Chief Minister Sheikh Mohd Abdullah on his 111th Birth Anniversary described him as a visionary and one of the tallest leader of the Country with a great political wisdom.
Recalling the service of Sheikh Mohd Abdullah Former Chief Minister, G.A. Mir said that Sheikh was a best statesman and an able Administrator, who had been able to introduce single line Administration in the State. His struggle and unaccounted sacrifices for the dignity and honour of the people shall always be remembered. He preferred to remain in prison rather than compromising on the dignity of the people, Mir said.
He said Sheikh Mohd Abdullah was a great person with a great political acumen, under whose leadership the State of J&K developed in every respect. He always remained committed to equitable development of the State and well being of the people, he added.
The best way to pay tributes to Former Chief Minister is to work for overall development of the state with great enthusiasm, besides remaining committed to wellbeing of the people irrespective of caste, colour or creed, Mir said.
Meanwhile, remembering former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah on his 111th birth anniversary, the Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association members said, Sheikh Sahib held an unrivalled place in the history of Kashmir and in the historic conversion from tradition to modernity. He left an indelible impact on the political landscape of Kashmir. He was a charismatic leader having a magnetic quality to change the mood of the public and drove them in the direction he desired. Besides being a charismatic, he was stubborn idealist, who was reluctant to compromise on his principles and the plans he had envisaged for the welfare of his people.
